A LITTLE INFO ABOUT ME

My name is Marcus Nilsson, and my interest in nature and the outdoors has been with me since childhood. Fly fishing is more than a hobby for me – it is a passion that I spend most of my free time on, both through fishing and through constant development at new levels.

I own the fishing rights on a stretch of the Vramsån River, just outside Kristianstad, and my father owns a corresponding stretch about two kilometers downstream. That is where I grew up and put my first fly in the water back in 1984. Since then, fly fishing has been a natural and lifelong part of my life.

My technical interest has led to a deeper focus on both casting technique and equipment, and my ambition is to constantly develop and further educate myself to ensure the quality of my courses. I am a certified instructor through the international organization FFI - Fly Fishers International.

For my own development, I also compete in Casting (Flycasting) and am active in the association Det Perfekta Kastet Kristianstad, which is affiliated with the Swedish Casting Association.

Fly tying is another great interest that I have had since 1986, when I took my first fly tying course.

I belong to Winston PRO - Winston Rod Co., USA and PRO Staff at NFD - Nordic Fly Fishing Distribution, which is responsible for the distribution of Winston Rods in Europe. NFD also distributes several well-known brands such as Bauer Fly Reels, Galvan, Oros, Dr. Slick, Umpqua, Taylor, Hex Fly Co. and many more.

As a certified fishing guide, it is important for me to focus on nature, sustainability and fisheries conservation. Therefore, I actively support various fisheries conservation projects and work for long-term and responsible fishing.
